VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE! JANUARY 2013

The winner of the custom contest is: Plucky Pony Ranch, owner, Stephanie Hicks, with the darling overo "Gilen/Heartbreaker" foal. This foal will be used as a MEPSA fundraiser, so watch for him on MH$P or eBay! Or, you may send offers to Laurel at dserthorse@aol.com or Carolyn at foggynote@comcast.net.

Because the runner-up, tobiano Rejoice by Yvonne Stevens of Heel Kickin Creations is also such high quality and so well liked, we anticipate offering her as a fundraiser also!

All these model are very nice, and every one got at least several votes. Our own MEPSA President, Elizabeth Jones, awed us with her previously hidden talents. Please look at the models' photos for the name of their artist. We will happily forward any commission requests to our competitors.

A big THANK YOU to all the artists and all the voters!

Time flies- the MEPSA 2013 Traditional Custom contest

We happily and proudly present the lovely entries for our MEPSA contest. Please vote for your favorite, one time only. The model with the most votes wins, and the winner gets an exceptionally nice prize! MEPSA then uses each entry model either as a prize, or as a fundraiser for MEPSA- Model Equine Photo Shower's Association.

Stay tuned for announcements of our artist's names at completion of the contest!

The first MEPSA contest of the season!!! Costumes!

THANK you so much for supporting MEPSA, entrants! I apologize for being disorganized and not on the ball, there has been a lot going on here.

Without further ado, our entries:

WINNER!!

Carissa Kirksey

1. A native Marwari ethnic accessory. The Marwari is a breed native to India. The colorful tack is worn over a standard English bridle, with any type of bit. Made of embroidery floss and hemp cord, it has a frontspiece of lace, with individually threaded floss woven through. The headstall was coated with clear acrylic sealer to keep it from unravelling. The strings have been left long to fit models other than the one modeling it here. Our entrant supplied us with a link to an authentic Marwari headstall:

Linda Watson Gresham! Thank you, Linda!

Our third entry is also a Stablemate scale Arabian costume, this one trimmed in pink red tassles.

MEPSA 2012 Horse Of The Year Voting!

MEPSA Horse Of The Year 2012 Voting! Please vote for your favorite in each category. The winners get a large, fancy rosette ribbon, as well as the title!

One note: All these horses are winners and Champions. Some are Judge nominated. Some with detailed wins are judge nominated. All the horses are here are excellent showers, basically equal, but where I had specific information, it was included, because I was impressed with the wins.
